Just hours after President-elect Donald Trump secured more votes in Illinois than in his past two campaigns and claimed victory in the US election in a sweeping red wave, coordinated far-left protests erupted outside the Trump Hotel in Chicago, former President Obama’s hometown.
The demonstrations, seemingly premeditated, displayed notable organization, from the presence of hundreds—potentially thousands—of participants wielding signs to the coordinated routes that likely received prior approval from City Hall.
